"Soul harvest"

Films: Scarecrows (1988)

Alias: Various, notably Jack

Type: Mystical

Location: Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Neutral, leaning on Evil

Summary: Once again, the straw-brained caricature of the farm is the subject. Now, there's an army of them, and they don't take prisoners...

History: On a seemingly abandoned farm, a horde of scarecrows await anyone who dares to trespass on their property. For tonight, a bunch of crooks have landed, looking for the guy who took their money. These hunters are about to become the hunted.

Notable Kills: One of the guys-turned-scarecrows got the money stuffed into his stomach.

Final Fate: Many of the scarecrows get their heads blown off, and really, blowing them up seems to be the most effective practice. Whether there are more scarecrows in the area or not remains yet to be seen.

Powers/Abilities: Can turn their victims into scarecrows by any means, with whatever is lying around. They are also rather intelligent, setting up traps and playing mind games on their targets.

Weakness: Explosions and/or fire.

Scariness Factor: 4-These deceptively smart and violent bastards can do a lot more than just frighten fowls, no can’t they? A particularly horrible scarecrow from this film is whatever the hell they did to Jack, who now looks like a lip-less zombie VR player, and he still keeps a cheery disposition!

Trivia: -This film went on theatrically for all of one week in Iowa.

-There is an unrated version of this film, mainly comprised of kill scenes that had to be toned down for so much as an R-rating.

Beyond violate, in fact.

Even Oz can't save anyone now.
They thought it would be your typical action film...

Zero eyes, zero soul.
Another appropriate term for the havoc that goes down here.

Jack Skellington offers no comment.

KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!
